Scammer Revealed (They Get Smarter!)

Have just checked my Gmail account and i received this email (mailed by: cp240.mysite4now.com)

Action: Secure Your Online Banking.
Date: 30/08/07

Dear valued Usbank member:

Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the Usbank
account we have issued this warning message.

It has come to our attention that your Usbank bank account information needs to be updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

Once you have updated your account records your Usbank account
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

Since my Gmail account is getting more and more into public (i think it also caused by having several .org domains, damn, i love .org’s!) i double checked the sender which identified as: “U. S. Bank©”

So i went to US Bank site which look like below.

Compared to the HTML email i received (below), if i haven’t have email scam attempt before, i won’t recognize the different.

The other thing that i recognize was the Sign In link which will lead me to www.younger-older-dating.com/banners/usbank/index.html.

Ok this one is the best scam email attempt I’ve ever received (compare to usual African princess & King’s widow emails). I think this is slightly better than spoof emails using the likes of PayPal. Dude just be careful, please spread the words, these criminals are getting smarter.
